International Certified Family Education Instructor (ICFEI)
The initiative of Family Education rose in 1980s. It was taken by a number of Professional American organizations along with several universities in order to provide the social science education, to try and strengthen the American families. In the words of the National Council on Family Relations or NCFR, Family Education is “The educational effort to strengthen individual and family life through a family perspective.”
After three decades of development, it has won the recognition from American government and the public. At present, family education has obtained the legal status in most states in America and it has expanded by the strong tendency. Whether in the areas of legal policies or operating mechanisms and rules, family education is increasingly mature and perfect.
Parents are the first teachers of children. Good family education is the catalyst to optimize children's mind and the necessary condition to cultivate talents. In order to improve parents' advanced education concept, further build a home school communication bridge, and promote the healthy growth of students.
Family education is the authoritative parents and elders in their children embodied the power and might. The existence of family, kinship established between parents and children, dependency relationships, emotional relationships, children in terms of moral and material needs of life for parents and elders have a great dependence, consistency fundamental interests of family members, have decided every parent their children have a greater role in the constraints. Parental education and obedience easily accepted by children, parents and rational use of this feature, the children form good character and behavior are very helpful. In short, the importance of family education of parents as to fully and consciously make the child’s education, parental responsibility and obligation to do good for the country and qualified construction professionals.
The objective of family education is to enrich and improve the quality of individual and family life. Family Education includes the programs and courses that help to make the day-to-day life of an individual or a family better in all possible aspects. It includes programs like family financial planning courses, pre-marriage and after marriage education and Parenting classes etc. Family Education differs a lot from a formal Family Therapy. The main cause of FLE is to prevent the Family difficulties before they happen rather than waiting for them to happen and then solve them. As far as the Family Therapy is concerned it mainly deals and helps the family with the problems that have already occurred.
